My kids are trying to open websites sent to them via text or by using Siri and it only results in showing the website name (ie google.com) and a black screen. Their friends do not have this issue. I see others online with the same issue. These are brand new watches. What’s up?

If you use an Apple Watch, can you open webpages when receiving a link via iMessage, for example?
I just tried that on my watch without any issues.
Are these watches connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data, if they try to open a link?
Did you try to force restart the watches by pressing and holding the Digital Crown and the Side button together for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?
Did you set up any restrictions for the use?

I would check in your screen time settings for them that content restrictions are completely off.
Tried that and still nothing. For a millisecond we see the YouTube page and then it goes to a black screen.
And now most of his icons/apps are grayed out suddenly. Something is definitely wrong
Youtube is a special case and generally will not play on a watch from what I have seen reported on here before.
It’s not just YouTube. No websites work. My kids seem to think that the watch doesn’t support websites but that can’t possibly be true, can it?
