Auto shape/Snap feature not working in Books iPadOS update 18.2.1 (since 17.4 )

2025 and here we are again..

Since the iPadOS 17.4 update. The Auto shape/Snap to shape has stopped working for me in the books app. I can confirm it to be working in other apps like notes app and freeform app. Anybody has any idea on how to solve this issue?

Auto shape not working in Apple Books app. The auto shape recognition feature in iPad not working on Apple Books app although it is working fine on other apps, tried everything restarting, reinstalling, resetting nothing seems to be fixing the issue.

Perfect shapes doesn’t work in Books app on iPad After updating to 17.4 on my ipad pro 3rd generation I can no long do perfect shapes in the Books app. Can someone help?
