Microphone input for Mac mini M1 and M4 without Apple monitor

On a Mac mini (currently M1 silicon but shall update to M4 shortly) audio jack is provided but no microphone jack is available on my current mini nor on the newer M4 mini(??!!).

I do not wish to buy Apple's monitor in order to get a microphone input. My current monitor does not have microphone or audio input or output.

So question is how do I get microphone input for either of these Mac minis? Options should be expensive.

If you have an old pair of 3.5mm Apple earpod (with volume control) that has mic input build-in.

Just plug in and forget about it.

The newer USB-C headset also gives you another input interface.

I used these for Zoom calls when I was in the office (for privacy purpose) instead of my MacBook Air's speaker/mic.

With adding enjoyment for listening music, AirPod also can serve as mic input.

3rd party - USB Mic, or USB headset (with Mic), Bluetooth headset ...etc. products have different price range for individual need. It won't cost a arm and leg...
