Greyed-out folders in encrypted lockvault.sparseimage file on Mac

I have an encrypted lockvault.sparseimage file on my Mac mini 15.1.1 that I stored my old TurboTax records in. As I began to prepare my 24 taxes I saw that the folders for 2022 and 2023 are greyed out and I can’t open them. I checked my Time Machine backup which only goes back to 11/24 and those files in that backup are also greyed out. I assume that means that I am out of luck.

Deleting a single file from Time Machine back-ups. I'm using time machine on a macbook pro, running High Sierra. There is an option to delete all backups of a file from Time Machine backups. That option is displayed among the user options menu of Time Machine while one has entered Time Machine. The option seems to work sometimes and not others. I ordinarily put crucial info into a file on my desktop until I've memorized it. Then I want it removed. It typically contains info such as login passwords, account numbers, etc., so not something I would want to fall into other people's hands under any circumstances, and no longer needed as a reference. But sometimes after choosing the option to remove all back-ups of a file, the file isn't removed. And the option to remove it disappears. Anyone have an idea what is going on?

Ventura - Time machine, unable to delete a selected folder from backups Hi! In previous Mac OS versions there was a possibility to Right-click on the folder or file to remove backups for and choose ‘Delete All Backups of “FileName”‘ and confirm the the removal. Now there is no such thing in Ventura 13.0 Does anyone know a workaround for this issue? Thanks!

Locked files block my time machine backup When I do a Time Machine backup it gets to the end of the BU it gives a message that it can’t complete because my MacBook Pro has some locked files. I’ve tried doing it with screen saver and sleep mode both disabled and also with a different external drive. If anyone can tell me how to find locked files on my Mac I’d be very appreciative. Thanks.
