Lost iphone that had been wipped clean for a tradein.

I lost an iPhone that was to be traded in. The phone had been cleared of all info as was no longer connected to my cell phone number. Can I get the serial number or contact Apple if someone try’s to connect it.

Can you get the serial number? Perhaps, if you have documentation of the iPhone purchase that contains the serial number. Otherwise it’s gone.
Can you contact Apple regarding future connections? No, there’s nothing that can be done.
