Freeform crashing every 2 minutes!!

In the past couple weeks, Freeform is crashing every 2 minutes on my 2020 iPad Pro that I use in the classroom and on the M4 iPad Pro that’s used at home. My M2 MBA has no issues with the app crashing, but I need the Apple Pencil’s functionality most importantly, so I need the iPad app to be much more stable. I’ve tried the shut down and restart, with no positive results. Everything is updated, app and OS. Anyone know of another fix? Thanks!
