I understood that the original poster was talking about the Pages folder (with the Pages app icon) stored in the "On My iPad" section from the screen within the pages app when they're trying to choose a file, which is probably why they mentioned iPad storage and iCloud storage. I'm sure they were asking how to remove the Pages folder from their iPad and only use the iCloud one, and what I meant by "Pages app folder" was the default folder your device makes for you to save Pages files to, not the app itself. They weren't asking to delete the app.

You can delete the Pages app folder stored in “On My iPad” by opening the Files app then navigating to it from there. Tap and hold then press delete. You won’t be able to delete it through the Pages app when finding a file to open. Make sure any files you need are out of the folder before deleting it, since they won’t automatically go to the Pages folder stored in iCloud and will be deleted along with the folder instead.

✅ Yes , you understood correctly . The " on my iPad " in the Files app is empty and the Pages app in Files > Pages is the original dated 2018 .

In the Pages app , the " on my iPad " contains the one dated 2024 . The one in iCloud Drive is the original dated 2018 . So like I said , if I press & hold the 2024 one " on my iPad " , the pop up doesn't contain the option to delete .

Also , on iCloud.com , underneath the Pages icon it reads application library , is that right ?

🤷‍♀️ I don't know what happened , but I currently have two Pages & two Safaris ?

If any more information is needed , feel free to ask , it sounds quite confusing , yeah ?

Thanks for getting this started , I've been using Apple stuff for over a decade & feel like I should know what to do , but I don't .
