Does anyone know how it feels to go out of your way to look up information for another user's post , type it all into this box then see
" couldn't save / update ~ try again later " , you go to a different page then come back and it's gone ❓

That might be normal, as odd as that sounds.
I've experienced exactly what you describe. For me it always happens when a post to which I was responding was:
before I could hit the "Post" button. I am a clumsy typist who also takes time to research data supporting answers, so I fully understand the frustration element.
Can you correlate the content (ex., complaint addressed to Apple; rant; etc) of the posts you tried to answer with any of the "Don't do that!" items items in the Terms of Use? (Section B).
You have helped enough long here—and quite effectively—that an email from you to the Mods reporting such issues would be appropriate.

The message will remain there as long as the thread is still loaded in the tab; if needed, the Continue Draft link can be used to put it back there. If you close the tab, the autosaved version of it will stay until you begin composing another response in a different thread.
