How can I manage excessive battery usage on iPhone 15?

I was experiencing really high battery use. My phone which used to last 2.5 days was running out at about 5 pm. I then found in battery health that 68% of battery was one app! It turned out that not having the greatest hearing I had turned on Sound Recognition in Accessibility (it listens for doorbells etc). So far after 24 hours it looks as though this may have cured the problem. However this has only been happening to this extent since the IOS 18.2 update. Does anyone have any other suggestions as an 10 hour battery is pretty hopeless.

Update to iOS 18.2.1 if you have not already done so.

In addition app updates by Meta, having nothing to do with iOS 18.2, have been seen to use excessive amount of your battery. If you have Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp installed, try removing and compare the difference. You will also see higher than normal amount of battery consumption in the settings for battery usage for these apps that was not seen in prior versions of those apps. Many of which is due to the Background Processes that consume your battery even if you are not using the app.
