Apple tarde in (in Store)

Hello, I asked in an Apple Store in Sydney about the trade in program and they said that they needed a NSW driving license (I’m here on a work and holiday visa so I only have my foreign drivings license), however, online doesn’t ask for any resident document. Can I trade it online without asking for the drivings license?
