iPhone screen frozen and not accepting input

my screen froze, I am unable to put in password to restart because screen is frozen

Learn what to do if your iPhone won't turn on or is frozen.

You could alternatively try turning your iPhone off, then back on.

Learn what to do if the screen isn't working on your iPhone.

Try a force reset procedure as outlined below:

Press and quickly release the volume up button.
Press and quickly release the volume down button.
Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo
