Apple HomePod Mini will randomly say "there's nothing in your music library" even when unprompted

As the title says my homepod mini will tell me "there's nothing in your music library", it often happens when I'm moving things not even talking. The homepod will tell me this when I'm typing on my keyboard in complete silence or in absolute silence just clicking my mouse.

If I have a phone call these calls will increase to the point where I have to leave the room otherwise it would repeat this every couple of seconds.

Please note 1. I do not speak English (or speak at all) often when this happens, 2. I NEVER SAY "hey siri". I looked online but couldn't find another thread with this same issue as most questions related to this are centered around Apple Music users, which I'm not.

HomePod may be configured to respond to "Siri" on its own rather than "Hey Siri". Check under the Home app, the the three dots in a circle at the top right > Home Settings > Listen for "Siri" or "Hey Siri". If you turn Siri off then you need to tap the top of the device to interact with it. Only responding to "Hey Siri" might work better if "Siri" is currently an option.

Note the response "there's nothing in your music library" would suggest that you've made no purchases from the iTunes Store, and don't have an Apple Music subscription. Is that correct? If not you might need to sign out of your Apple Account and sign in again. Open the HomePod in the Home app and access settings from the cog, then locate Music & Podcasts > Primary User. Try signing out, then sign in again.

It seems I had one of those faulty units. I tested every setting even fumbling with the accessibility touch options. It got progressively worse to the point of the homepod repeatedly trying to play music when I was sitting in complete silence.

The solution was to disassemble the homepod mini and unplug the touch panel's cable. This does mean I can't use the touch panel but the issue was solved immediately, I haven't heard another peep from the device since.
