I’m sorry, but installed and turned off are two different things. There are hundreds if not thousands of VPN products/services these days. Banks and Apple does not track which ones interfere and the ones that don’t.

VPN’s are a known issue for banks and companies that offer financial services. Scammers always use VPN’s and banks etc. continuously develop ways to block/detect VPN services. It includes even having a profile installed, but the service turned off.

I can’t guarantee deleting the VPN will solve the issue. But it’s the next step in troubleshooting. The profile installed at this path, needs to be deleted,

iPhone > Settings > General > scroll down > VPN & Device Management > delete any and VPN associated files

Delete the VPN app and then do a forced restart.

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Then reset your network settings

Reset your network settings

If you're using iOS or iPadOS 15 or later, tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

If you're using iOS or iPadOS 14 or earlier, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

Lastly do a forced restart of your iPhone again and try to add a card.

I will try resetting the network settings and doing a forced restart.

However, since this phone was purchased and setup after I had the problem with the card and everything was reset, and the problem didn’t change, I don’t have a lot of confidence in this, but I will try.

Thanks for continuing to try to help.

Do not have an app. Has never been set up.

I’ll repeat, there is NO way or NO option to be able to remove it from any device. No edit, no nothing. The only option is to add it to wallet, and when I do that, all I get ‘this card is invalid’. That’s why I’m trying to get help here. To change something just to be able to delete it from every device

Let’s try this again, do you have the card on any other devices? I’m not asking about previous cards. I’m asking if the card is actually visible in your Wallet app on any Apple devices? If so, the card needs to be removed from the Wallet. Again, if the card is only in previous cards, that’s fine.

Cards cannot be manually removed from previous cards. Cards can be manually removed from the Wallet app.

Thank you for the info. This is an Apple Card, it is only in previous cards, and only shows on 2 devices, only in previous cards. It is an invalid card, and won’t add to wallet. Trying to add a replacement card, but it won’t add and was told by Goldman that I needed to remove the old card, to add the new card.

The old card is gone. The card showing in previous cards, means the card is no longer in the Wallet. When the virtual card is removed, the art work and few other remnants are moved to previous cards. When the card was removed from the Wallet the token should have been removed by GS. The remnants will be removed automatically from previous cards after 10 to 11 days. How many days has the virtual card been removed from Apple Wallet.

Do you use a VPN, ever had VPN software/app and/or VPN profiles on your iPhone? Please delete any apps and then follow this path,

iPhone > Settings > General > scroll down > VPN & Device Management > remove and profiles or unknown files. Please do a forced restart. If you’re not familiar with the process, review the Apple Support article below.

Once the iPhone restarts, reset your network settings.

Try adding your card to Apple Wallet
