What do the Grey Bars in Screen Time mean? I wanna really know bcs its mysteriously high.

Grey Bars on Screen Time notification? I've been checking my screen time and there was a lot continuous activity from midnight on... often 5-8 hours. This occurred even when my phone was off. At first showed as "social" then just as dark grey blocks in the graph. Anybody have an idea what this is about?
