Unable to contact the Facetime Server. Try Again

Also unable to contact the IMessage Server. This is occurring on an iPad Mini 4 running the latest software update (15.8.3). There's no security software currently installed. I tried changing wi-fi networks to no avail. The apple id is confirmed as being correct. I'm able to log into my account and the app store using it. This is a Wi-Fi only device. I know it was working fine until Jan. 4, 2025, when I last received an iMessage. I've tried all of the solutions recommended by Apple in their articles and as a last resort rebooted my router. No one else in the family is having a problem on the same network. Both Facetime and iMessage work fine on my iPhone 14 and Apple Watch using the same credentials. My spouse has no problems with either app on an iPad Pro on the same network. Hate the fact that Apple provide no easy way to roll back software to an earlier version or easily reinstall software versions.
