Unable to open .jpg, .png in my OneDrive

On my Mac, I am suddenly unable to open jpg and png-files stored in OneDrive.

If I try, the thumbnail changes to one of my private pictures (they are not stored in this area, it is a work area) Folders with certain Al-files are empty.

This isn't the problem on my office computer (PC) I can access all jpg and png files in OneDrive, and I can't see any changes on the thumbnails either. I can access the Al-files.

I spoke with Microsoft, but they said this would be an Apple-issue.

Try if this helps: select the image and Finder > Get Info > Open with > select Preview.app and Change All...

I don't know much about One Drive. How do you "open jpg and png-files stored in OneDrive?" Are you dragging these files to Preview? What error message does Preview give? Or do you use some other app? Or are you opening files is some other way? Pardon my ignorance…

I dobbelclick on the file to open it. When I dobbelclick one of two things happens:

1) it doesn't open, and I get a warning message, saying (translated): The file.... could not open. The file might be damaged or is using a file format that Preview doesn't recognize.

2) it opens, but shows a different picture. And the thumbnail changes.

If I try to access the pictures from Powerpoint, I will either get a wrong picture, og no reaction at all.
