Previous Music Libraries occupying more space than SSD on Mac

Hi, I just discovered that in my Music folder there's a folder "Previous Libraries". This folder contains about 20 Music library files, which if added up take more space (3.1TB) than my SSD provides (2TB). I'm confused about this. Can anybody explain this to me?

Also, is it possible to delete some of these files without causing any issues with my actual Music Library?

Thanks a lot guys!

See Managing your Mac media libraries - Apple Community for some general background. The individual .musiclibary packages shouldn't be that large unless they are also filled with .tmp files. You only really need the most recent previous library in the event of a disaster, and would ideally have the whole library captured in Time Machine or similar.
