QuickBooks 2019. What was the default password?

I've been gingerly using QB 2019 on my iMac with Sonoma 14.6.1 for my very small business. I have 7 more uses left on the 15 open trial. I need to use it maybe three times a year. No other program handles inventory at a price I can afford especially the QB subscription service.

I fired it up today and it will not let me in without an Administrator password. I am pretty sure that I have never set one. When it's asked for one before I would simply hit return and for whatever reason it would let me continue. Now it won't. Is there a default password it shipped with? And yes, I've already tried password.

Quickbooks support would not be helpful. last year after I determined the desktop version worked with sonoma i wanted to do the right thing and pay for it. Support was absolutely shocked that I had been able to download a copy somehow/somewhere since they hadn't supported it for years. They had no mechanism for me to pay for it and more than a bit peaved that I wasn't willing to jump on the subscription bandwagon.

i did get the download link from a Quickbooks support community group. maybe i'll try to track them down again.
