Auxiliary Magic Trackpad not responding to gestures

I use a Magic Trackpad with my MacBook Pro. However I can't seem to change the settings for my Magic Trackpad. It only works as a pointer. Even the right click doesn't work. When I go to system settings for the trackpad, it only changes the MacBook Pro built-in trackpad and not the Magic Trackpad. I have clicked ignore built in trackpad in accessibility and that doesn't change anything either, except to make the built in trackpad not work. Can someone tell me how to change my Auxiliary Magic Trackpad settings?
