Hi,
my phone got stolen and find my iPhone wasn’t installed. In my iCloud I accidentally removed the phone before wiping it. Now I’m scared that the person who stole it will have access to all my personal information once it’s unlocked. Is there a way to remove all my information from my phone? What are the next steps to ensure my privacy? Pls help
If Find My was disabled on the phone when it was stolen – or if you removed the phone from the list of devices that are associated with your Apple ID – there is no way to request a remote Erase.
The thief or fence can reset your phone and "make your phone their own."
All that you can do now to "brick" the phone is to report the theft to the police and to your carrier (phone company) and ask the carrier to blacklist the phone. That would keep whoever has the phone from getting cellular voice, text message, or data service from any carrier who honors the blacklist – but it wouldn't erase the data on the phone.
Hopefully the phone was passcode-locked at the time that it was stolen, with a passcode that the thief did not know and could not have guessed. Hopefully you have also kept your Apple ID and Apple ID password secure and haven't fallen prey to "phishing" by criminals pretending to be "Apple Support", "Apple Security", or some such.
Most of the things recommended in the Support article are now unavailable to you, but you may still want to review your Apple Account information, as outlined in the last section.
