iMovie Repeatedly Quitting and Running Slow

I haven't used iMovie in some time. Today, I tried to use it and found it is running extremely slow and quitting repeatedly to the point I can no longer use the program. I have 2019 MacBook running Sequoia 15.2 and iMovie 10.4.3. Things I have already tried: 1) Creating a brand new iMovie library, 2) Checking Storage Space, 3) Render Files is set to delete in iMovie Settings. Any suggestions to try would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi,

If your MacBook Pro 16" has an intel chip, and is not M1 or later, you might try the following diagnostics:

Resetting the System Management Controller

Try resetting the System Management Controller (but no longer available for the new M1 and later computers):

Reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

Resetting the NVRAM or PRAM

Try resetting the NVRAM or PRAM, although this issue would be fairly rare:

Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
