I'm trying to adjust the length of some audio in the main/arrange window of the logic, but when I use split at play head (and scissor tool) it creates a gap to the left of the split. These gaps vary in size and I'm not sure what's going on, it's infuriating. I just want to simply cut and arrange my regions.

No tempo changes or flex are currently being used anywhere in the project. The gap is only being created on this specific track and no others. I did drag the regions on this track in from another project, maybe this has something to do with it?
I've removed the tempo information from the regions but it's still happening. Is there a way to reset the region's information completely? If I bounce the regions to a new track it does not do it, but I need to edit the audio before doing so.
Maybe you've already done this: You can remove the tempo information for selected Regions here : Edit > Tempo > Remove Tempo Information
Another question: Have you selected an option other than “Keep tempo” in the Project Tempo pop-up menu?
Do you have any tempo changes in the project or are you using Flex on the particular tracks?
Yes, I have already tried to remove the tempo information but it still happens after. My project is set to "Keep Tempo".
