iMovie not exporting video (gets halfway and then freezes)

Hello,

I am trying to export a video on iMovie and I have done everything suggested in the replies to other questions here. This has been an issue for the past week. I have exported perhaps a hundred videos before and never had an issue until last week. Now I cannot export even a tiny little video. It always gets stuck about halfway through and even after hours of waiting, it will not budge. Then I try to cancel the export and close iMovie to reopen and try again and it freezes. I have to force quit it every. single. time. I have sent probably 100 error reports to Apple due to the constant force quits in the past couple of days alone.

Things I have confirmed and done:

• Restarted my laptop probably 1095389 times
• Restarted iMovie even more times
• Restarted iMovie with deleting / resetting preferences by holding down the option and command keys and selecting to delete preferences
• Confirmed I have more than enough space
• Copied the entire project and pasted into a brand new project and tried exporting that
• Tried exporting a 2 second clip just to see if that works (it does not)

Nothing works. I am losing my mind and losing so much time, literally, on these very important projects I need done ASAP.
