iMovie showing 'Not Enough Disk Space' error despite sufficient storage

I have about 10 small "projects" on it (about 3-4 min each)...deleting makes no difference. Have more than enough space in storage. Will not add any more clips. Help!

iMovie not enough disc space To fix the iMovie "not enough disc space" issue I did as someone suggested on this forum and put iMovie in trash without emptying the trash so I could upload a new iMovie from the App store. Unfortunately when I put iMovie into trash it automatically deleted it. So I would not suggest anyone doing that. Apple should remedy this iMovie issue already. Such a waste of time trying to do anything with iMovie these days.

Imovie saying "Not Enough Disk Space" ? I clicked update by accident on my iMac and it updated to Catalina OS 10.15.7. Now Imovie(version 10.1.11) is displaying this message when I try to do anything in a project. I have 600GB free on my iMac so space is not the problem. Everything is up to date the App Store too.
