"Unknown error (1109)" during recovery mode on iPhone 14 Pro

In addition to the above, some background and some suggestions from Apple:

• If you see Error 3194, Error 1109, or other network connectivity errors when restoring your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Do you have VPN on your computer? If so, turn it off. And update iTunes to the latest version.

Other things to try: Disable your antivirus, unplug all other USB devices except for mouse and keyboard if a desktop, try a different cable.

The operative word here is QUICKLY; and try it a couple of times, the timing is a little tricky. If done correctly this will always work unless the phone has a hardware problem.

1109 is usually connectivity, not device.

Force the device into DFU, and try again.
