iPhone 15 Pro screen goes black

On my iPhone 15 Pro, the screen goes black sometimes on its own. First couple of times it went almost black, but you could just barely make it out the icons. It was able to go and turn the screen and brightness up. Lately, it has been going completely black And couldn’t figure out what to do. Ask Siri to turn up brightness that works sometimes, but not this last time. Had it do it while I was using the phone. I’m trying the suggestions of turning off true tone and dark mode. Did not have auto brightness on already had turned that off. Phone should not automatically completely go dark. Apple should have it where if it wants to turn it down it should be as a limit. Is this going to get fixed in an update sometime

My iPhone has 18.1.1. Luckily there is an update 18.2.1. So I will try the update on the computer this evening. Thought it was updated and was not going to be able to update through computer since it was already there. Since there is an update, I should be able to do it. Is it still recommended to keep dark mode and two tone turned off? Seems like it kind of defeats the purpose of having those options if they cause problems. As I stated, there should be a minimum cut off point for the dimming; should never dim completely all the way down automatically.

Keep Dark Mode Off:

You still have to tap a few things on the phone. So, keep Dark Mode off; elsewise, it’s not going to be easy to perform this.

Get this Serviced:

The screen should not be fully-dark. So,, If there is no success with this, then I recommend you get this serviced. Take this in for a Genius Bar Appointment at your local Apple Store. Bring a proof pf purchase with you.
