iOS 18 update not downloading in iPhone 6

I phone 6 not downloading the new update iOS 18 that's available online after I factory reset my phone it doesn't allow it to download

You mention two different iPhones – the iPhone 6 in the title of your post, and the iPhone 6s in your tag line.

You can update an iPhone 6 to the latest release of iOS 12. You cannot update it to iOS 13 or higher.

You can update an iPhone 6s to the latest release of iOS 15. You cannot update it to iOS 16 or higher.

Neither is compatible with iOS 18, and neither will be offered an update to iOS 18.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s will never download iOS 18 because they are not compatible with iOS 16, 17 or 18.

If you want to run iOS 18, you need an iPhone XR or higher model.

The last and final update for the iPhone 6s was iOS 15.8.3. No more updates will be available for the iPhone 6 and 6s.
