How to summon Apple AI Siri vocally on Mac without HomePod Siri starting up

So I've waited a bit to turn on Apple Intelligence on my M1 Mac Studio for Apple to work out some initial bugs. I've got it on and seems to operate well, but when I vocally summon Siri Ai, my desktop HomePod jumps in to answer. This is not helpful.

Does Apple have a workaround? Is there a community-brewed solution? Is this one of those situations where Apple shrugs its shoulders and says, "It Just Works". Lol.

Is a unified Siri even possible? Right now when I say "Siri, or Hey Siri", my iPad, iPhone, HomePod and Mac all light up at once. HomePod however seems to be the most assertive and acts as the "boss" of Siri gadgets at the moment, even if it cannot help me.
