Can I mark books in my Apple Books library with a note that explains why I bought it?

I often buy Apple Books after reading a review or summary and then don’t get to reading them for a few years and by the time I’m reading them, I’ve forgotten why I bought them. Is there a way I can mark those books in their Apple Books library appearance with a note that explains why i bought it?

Add a note

  1. Go to the Books app  on your iPhone.
  2. Tap a book cover to open it.
  3. Touch and hold a word, then move the grab points to adjust the selection.
  4. Tap Add Note, enter text, then tap Done.
  5. To remove a note, tap the highlighted text, then tap Delete Note.

To see all of your notes, tap the page, tap , tap Bookmarks & Highlights, then tap Highlights. Tap a note to go to that location in the book.
