IOS 18.2, what did you do the photo app?

Apple, why did you change the photo app? The layout, the interface, the constant scrolling to find what you need... all of it is awful. Has anyone heard if Apple is going to give us the previous version back? And Apple, if you are listening, please give it back. I will no longer be using my iPhone for photos, I will now have to carry my old Samsung to take pictures. And considering I have the option to swap my phone anytime with my carrier, I am looking at my options.

You have a couple of options:

  • Send Feedback to Apple. No, they do not see your post here.

  • Learn the new features of the Photos app. There are a lot more customization options to tailor the app that will allow you to see exactly the photos you want. If you have a specific question, you may find an answer that will help you or direct you to that section of the User Guide.

  • Download any other alternative Photo app from the App Library. They use the same Photo Library and offer different features.
  • Use your old Samsung phone to take pictures. I recommend to use any device that best meets your needs. It makes no difference to users here which device that is.
