Subject: Issue with Microphone Switching After Using AirPods Pro on FaceTime

Details:

I’m using an iPhone 16 Pro Max (iOS 18.2) and have encountered a recurring issue related to microphone functionality during FaceTime calls after using AirPods Pro.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Use AirPods Pro with my iPhone.
  2. Remove the AirPods Pro but keep Bluetooth enabled.
  3. Initiate a FaceTime call.
  4. The other party cannot hear me because the built-in microphone does not respond.

Temporary Workarounds:

  • Reconnecting the AirPods Pro enables normal audio.
  • Turning off Bluetooth also restores the microphone functionality.

This behavior causes inconvenience during calls, especially when I’m not using AirPods Pro. It seems like the device doesn’t properly switch back to the internal microphone after disconnecting the AirPods.

Expected Behavior:

The iPhone should seamlessly switch to the built-in microphone when AirPods Pro are no longer in use.

Please look into this issue and provide a fix in future updates. Thank you!
