iPhone Scrolling:

Are you referring to scrolling on a web page or on the GUI (Other than a search engine)? Note that it will skip, if it begins to lag. And lagging occurs typically when the is little to no storage left, or the connection is just not strong.

"When scrolling through apps like facebook, insta, twitter, etc.: at some point it just becomes not as smooth. Wondering if this is normal. I got this iphone last week."

Lagging App Scrolling:

All is fine. It is collaborating new data as you scroll through, such as ads, and make more of a use of the app.

Juddering While Viewing Notes:

As for the juddering, there is probably lots to load as you scroll, or you may be viewing this from iCloud; so download it, reporting back if this still occurs.

Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of you occurrences, if you don't report it to them.

1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread
4. Proceed from there as necessary
