Universal Control with new M2 Mac Mini "stutters" on iPad and vice-versa - both keyboard and mouse

Bought a Mac mini M2 from Apple to replace my old 2018 one and this started to happen. Was Ok with the other Intel based Mac. From my Mac to iPad using the Magic Keyboard is laggy and also the other way around using the iPad's Magic Keyboard Case. It is barely unusable and they are side by side.

Saw other posts from 2023 but with no actual solution to this, anyone have any insight on how to definitively solve this?
