Calendar Invite Spam Update 18.2

I opened up my calendar as I usually do when an alarm goes off. On my calendar from today going forward a week is an update your profile action invite. It has no place to delete. Only actions available are accept, maybe, and decline. I am not able to delete it at all. I went to data recovery in my iPhone for calendars selected a previous backup and hit restore. It disappeared for a few minutes and then reappeared on my iPad and my iPhone. Anybody else having this issue?

That is the problem. Your Calendar is syncing the spam calendar events from the Microsoft servers of that email address. Microsoft has been infiltrated with these spam events again affecting all users who sync their account with the Calendar. There are many reports of this on the Microsoft Support sites and this issue has been around for years where they are able to stop them for a while and then they come back again. It makes no difference which iOS version you are using or even the device platform.

The solution is to quit syncing that email with your Calendar. Refer here to the options on your email account and turn off the toggle for the Calendar.
