How to import templates into Final Cut Pro 11

Ok, so I'm at a loss here. It appears that FCP 11 does not have the same generators, tiles, effects, transitions folders as FCP X. I manually made a generators folder, but the video template still do not show up in the sidebar. I'm sure this is not an oversight with Apple and there is just a different way to import these in? Does anyone know? Thank you!

Thanks for your reply!

There are no folders under Movies>>Motion Templates. I never had FCP X, but in my reading I understand that Movies>>Motion Templates had generators, tiles, effects, and transitions folders. Artlist.io gives detailed instructions on how to install their templates here: https://help.artlist.io/hc/en-us/articles/7648757553693-How-to-install-Final-Cut-templates. But, again, the Motion Templates folder is blank. There are others that have posted this question elsewhere, but I haven't come across an answer.

How does one make a folder with the extension .localized?

Select the Motion Templates folder and press Cmd-I. In the info panel add the extension .localized.

Add the Generators folder to Motion Temples. In Generators as a folder with a category name (which is not localized). The generators that you have are placed in the folder with the category name.

The FCPX name was dropped a few years ago. It became simply FCP. From version FCP 10.8.1 for some inexplicable reason Apple decided to jump to FCP 11.
