This is not a chat service, and is not a way to communicate directly with Apple; it is a user-to-user technical support forum. If you have a question or issue that you think another user can help you with please describe it in as much detail as you can and a user who sees your request and thinks they can help will answer, but that might not be immediate; it could be hours later. Here is some advice on how to do that effectively→Writing an effective Apple Support Communities post.

If you want to contact Apple use the Get Support link at the bottom of this page or call Apple by choosing a number from this list→Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

You cannot delete Safari because it is an integral part of iOS. You can disable it and remove the app from the home screen and go to Settings and select a different app to be your default browser. After downloading a different browser, go to Settings>Apps>Default Apps>Browser App. Select the other browser.

Here comes the ‘it depends’….

Built-in apps that can be deleted in the European Union

Any iPhone or iPad user can delete most built-in apps that come pre-installed on their device. For users based in the European Union, these additional built-in apps can be deleted.

  • Messages
  • App Store
  • Camera
  • Photos
  • Safari

steps are described on the webpage.

As Apple has written the page itself I trend towards believing their descriptions. Although I’m not expert in this field.

since 18.2 is a recent version the option is probably there if one qualifies

“If you have iOS 18.2 or later or iPadOS 18.2 or later, and you’re based in the European Union, you can delete additional built-in apps on your iPhone or iPad.”

if outside the EU the former steps probably apply. I was addressing the new options for Europe so those who want can make use of it.
