iCloud not syncing with iCloud folder on Windows 11 PC

I've had this issue before which I thought was resolved the last time I contacted iCloud support earlier this year. I was told that because my Windows 11 PC wasn't syncing to cloud, it was putting all my new saved files in a "dump" folder in the path: This PC > C:/ > Users > Owner > iCloud Drive Archive. Support was able to re-link my Windows folder in the directory browser window to iCloud but they told me that all of the old files that had not been synced prior to Support fixing the issue, would have to be manually copied over from the Archive folder which takes a long time. So now, I noticed that my iCloud folder in my Windows 11 directory browser window is no longer syncing again and when I try to open a Word Document with the cloud icon next to it under the "Status" column, I get a popup window that says "Downloading 1 item" but the window shows what looks like an Activity Monitor graph with no activity and the download never starts or completes. Eventually, I get an error message saying "An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file... Error 0x800701AA: The cloud operation was not completed before the time-out period expired."

What do I do?

Did we get anywhere with this from support?

I have the same problem - decided to use iCLoud for my archive - and it worked fine for the first 1000 files and then suddenly stopped.

I have rebooted, I have logged out and in, etc etc - NOTHING starts the sync again.

If not resolved soon will need to move to OneDrive - I cannot run the risk of not having a backup.

Anyone?
