iPhone 14 and iPad Gen 9 DFU Restore with Correct Software

So a few weeks back i did a dfu restore on my iphone and ipad through itunes, for the simple reosen that i was paranoid. Back then, because some weird error i couldnt restore my devices. So as to the recomandation of several peopel i went to ipsw.me,to get the necassary files,due to the fact that they said the files where downloaded from an apple singned server and that it was legit.But back then i downloaded the softwares for both my devices ,an Ipad and iphone,at the same time. now i tested it out and it said it dosent work, but because im paranoid i wanna know, Can i on accident download the wrong software to the wrong device(like ipad gen9 software to iphone 14) and if yes how can i tell. also i wanted to know incase i really did download the wrong software to the wrong device will a normal restore from Itunes fix it and download the correct software to the devices cuz i did one Yesterday on both devices.
