iMovie add text to Title fails after latest iPad OS update

When I put text into a Title in iMovie it disappears on playback. This began after I downloaded the latest iPad OS on 12/20/24. Please help me find a way to return to adding titles to an iMovie project.

What I've tried:

Use an established iMovie with Titles as a template. The iMovie would play and display its text, but not edit.

I rebooted the iPad. No effect.

Can I return to the previous iPad OS or is there another fix available?

I am able to access and edit with the text inspector, however when I try to access the Title Inspector it only shows the words “Published Parameters” hide/show without loading any parameters? Missing iMovie button and the options button is gone in Photos when editing a video. Can’t add text anymore IPhone 13 Pro and iPad, there is no way to add quick text to video inside Photos. The iMovie option, and the entire options button is gone. Very frustrating to not be able to add easy text to any video. IPhone and iPad are on iOS 15.5. I used this this edit feature a lot, please bring it back soon.

editing text in pix using ios 18 i’m not able to edit text added to pictures in ios 18 - the text edit box pops up then immediately disappeares so i can’t change text colors, font size etc
