I have the Windows application (which, by the way, is a terrible app) and lately it hasn't been working!
The initial screen says "An Unknown Error Occurred", when I search for things only the titles appear and the images don't load, and when the songs they SIMPLY DON'T PLAY!
The app is already updated according to the Microsoft Store.
It is not possible that a company of this size cannot make an app that works in a decent way for other devices.

I have pretty much the same problem. I can't play any of my playlist that in my library. They work - but play random songs and only play part of the playlist then repeat. Quite disappointing as I can't listen to my own Christmas music. I think I've tried most of the 'fixes' if they seemed reasonable - no change
Uninstall Apple Music, and Apple TV and Apple Devices if installed, so you can revert to iTunes.
