GarageBand not saving pan or volume settings.

I’m working on some tunes from an earlier version saved from the old (2009) iMac. Whenever I change the vol or pan and return to the start of the song so do the settings. I’ve tried the automation too but no joy there. Help!

MacOS Ventura Garageband I have updated my Mac yesterday to OS Ventura. And after reading and looking to its features, It seems that I can't open my garageband. It says "updating information about audio unit plugins", and looking through force quit it says that garageband is not responding. They must look into this, especially for musician & producers like us. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Apple Music cross fade not working on Mac Studio I have multiple playlists set up on my old iMac at home. Yesterday the cross fade function was working, and today it won't. I have both Lossless audio and Dolby Atmos turned off. In frustration, I then tried my newish office computer Mac Studio 2022, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I have tried playing songs that are streaming, and those that are downloaded. The closest I can get is that it will chop the last 6 seconds off the song (but only if I have the cross fade slider set at 12 seconds). My OS on the Mac Studio is Ventura 13.2.1. I am playing music through the computer's speakers. Is there some other setting that I am missing?
