MacMini is showing this warning message.

Could this be an attempt at malware infection? Mac mini showing this message…Your Mac is heavily damaged! (33.2%)

Please download the Norton application to remove 3 viruses from your Mac.

Virus Name: Tapsnake; CronDNS; Dubfishicv

Risk: HIGH

Infected Files: /os/apps/hidden/os-component/X/snake.icv; /os/local/conf/keyboard/retype.icv...

Also sometimes “Beachballing” occurs.

Please advise…what is the best solution to fix. Thank you in advance.

It is almost certainly a scam and is caused because you have allowed someone/something to post Notifications on your Mac or have opened a specific page in your web browser.

Turn off notifications in System Settings.

Yes it is a scam to trick you into downloading Norton or perhaps something even worse.

Probably more than just notifications permissions. Reinstall macOS.
