iMovie for iPad not playing photos in movie

The iMovie I have created on my iPad will not play the photos previously loaded into the Show. This is after the iOS 18.2 update, but I don’t know if this is a reason. I have checked to make sure iMovie has been allowed to access photos in privacy and checked the iMovie app. I re downloaded the app and also restarted my iPad. Can anyone suggest how to fix this?

When I add multiple pictures, it will only show the first photo. It will not transition into the new picture in edit mode or just playing it from the project list. iMovie not working on iPhone Regardless of how many photos are loaded in iMovie, only one is running. They do not dissolve, fade, slide or wipe etc either. Photos and iMovie have full access permissions. I have tried re-setting privacy and location as suggested by some. It’s not working.
