iPhone 14 will not accept passcode

I accidentally went into a Voice Over tutorial. I could not get out of it. I turned off the phone, and turned it back on. The Voice Over was still there and asked me to sign in with my passcode. When I put in the passcode it would not accept it—— repeatedly! Now it says I must wait 5 minutes to re-enter the passcode. I know I only have a certain number of attempts left before it completely and irrevocably locks down! What do I do?

See the post from SravanKrA for the general answer, but to solve the immediate problem either tap twice anytime you would tap once. For example, to enter your passcode tap each digit twice.

If you have Siri enabled for the lock screen say “Hey Siri, Turn off Voiceover” or hold the SIDE button and say "Turn off Voiceover”

With VoiceOver—a gesture-based screen reader—you can use iPhone even if you can't see the screen. VoiceOver gives audible descriptions of what's on your screen—from battery level, to who's calling, to which app your finger is on. You can also adjust the speaking rate and pitch to suit your needs.
