My screen time shows 100% usage during the time I was asleep. Only two apps were being used. Telegram and photos. But when I opened the battery usage it showed completely other apps i.e Instagram and X. Was my iphone compromised (someone else had access) as it shows find my running in background. Also photos were opened first after ecery pickup.

It's just a bug in apple that it sometimes shows absurd timings in screen time. I have also encountered this several times. BUT IN your case most probably Telegram was indeed running in background and the photos app is there because you must have given its access to telegram. Telegram sometimes automatically runs in the background on macOS also so it is not necessary that your device has been compromised.
If you notice any suspicious activity on your phone then for sure do something.

The bug fix was released in iOS 18.2. For example, if you manage a child’s device, those screen activities affect the displayed totals.

But it says on screen rather than usage in background. The apps being used shown on battery usage were instagram and x those also showed usage at different times. So basically all 4 apps were being used. But it only shows insta and x on battery usage
