Do Apple Books and Audiobooks stay in sync?

Sometimes I like to read a book and pick back up when I’m driving.

so can I read a book and have audiobooks pick up where I left off reading? Then have the book start back up where I stopped listening?

Audiobooks won't sync to iPhone In the finder window, I selected my phone, then selected Audiobooks. I checked "Selected audiobooks" then searched for the book I wanted to sync. I checked the box next to it and clicked sync. It looked like it synced, but the book isn't showing up on my iPhone. It does show up in Books on my Mac. This book and others are in the "Want to read" collection, but only one book shows up in the same collection on my iPhone.

The books app is missing from the list of apps that allow file transfer Earlier I could transfer audiobooks from my PC to my iPad through iTunes. But of late the books app is missing from the apps that allow file transfer in iTunes. Other apps for audiobooks like pocketbook and bookmobile are visible and allow transfer of books. Any suggestions on how to get the books app back in the list of apps that allow file transfer q
