Question about focus mode

New to ios

I set up a (sleep) focus mode.

I don’t want system sounds in sleep mode and I only want alerts from my allowed apps

My issue is, the allowed apps only vibrate when it’s on silent mode

I need my allowed apps (one of which is my cars after market alarm) to be able to make noise and actually wake me up.

So it appears my only option is to leave silent mode off for this focus mode, or else the notifications will only vibrate, even for apps I designated to allow notifications on.

Am I wrong, or is there a way around this?
