I lost my old phone and had to set up my new one with out it to be able to get my old one back but I didn’t have enough iCloud storage so the old phone isn’t fully backed up and I’m missing photos and other things. how can i properly reset my new phone with out losing everything on my old phone so i can reset up the new phone and quick transfer everything from the old phone? (I’m sorry if it’s very confusing)

One thing that is confusing is that you had stated that you have lost your old iPhone. If you do not have your old iPhone in your possession, then you cannot 👉 Use Quick Start to transfer data to a new iPhone. This is because both iPhones need to be close to each other during the process.

Are you saying that you have your old iPhone, that has all your data, in your possession now?

NOTE: If any of the instructions seem confusing or intimidating, then I recommend that you visit the Apple Store, if you have one in your area, and have them guide you through the steps.

First you must ensure that your new iPhone is reset to factory settings and is prepared to be restored from your old iPhone. On your new iPhone, open Settings ➡️ General ➡️ Transfer or Reset iPhone ➡️ Erase All Contents and Settings: Here, choose Continue and then you will be given the option to keep the eSIM (Cell service and phone number) that you currently have). Ensure that you do not erase the eSIMs.

Once the above has been successfully accomplished, then you can transfer the data from your old iPhone to your new iPhone by using one of the two methods that are listed below.

(1) Do you have a backup created either on iCloud or on your computer?

 - Backup your old iPhone on your computer like this 👉 How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support and then Restore your new iPhone from that backup like this 👉 Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

OR

(2)  The Quick Start method and here is how to do that 👉  Use Quick Start to transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Note: If any of the above instructions seem confusing or intimidating, then I recommend that you visit the Apple Store, if you have one in your area, and have them guide you through the steps.
