My battery health declined 3% after IOS 18.2 update.

after installing the new update 18.2 the battery health declined 3% in days. Not only this but also the battery usage is increasing. For a 5 minutes of call I saw a decline of 7% in battery percentage.

Completely agrees with you. But a 3% decline in 4 days! This is suspicious and I can comfortably say that this is just another “pre maturing battery life”tactic through software updates.

Again, battery health decline is not linear. It's very possible that your battery health remained stable for a few months, then suddenly dropped a few percent, as it can fluctuate.

When did you buy this iPhone? Under normal conditions, your iPhone is expected to drop about 1% battery health a month, or 25 charge cycles. The decline isn't always linear, meaning some months it may drop more than expected, other months none at all. So you can't expect your battery health to continue to decline at this rate.
