How to remove Category icons in iOS 18.2 Mail?

Try this too: To turn off message categories, on any inbox tap the ⋯⃝ in the upper right, then tap List View.

Thanks, the second paragraph worked for me. I don’t know what the top three button> list view means though…

I don’t have message list under “mail” in settings so this answer doesn’t help me.

Yet another example of Apple listening to feedback.
